Youth Programs at Ridgewood Here at Ridgewood we know that the youth is a very important part of the congregation. Today's children will grow up to be tomorrow's leaders, teachers and parents and instilling a strong spiritual foundation is vitally important. We offer a variety of youth programs for children and teens to come together to socialize, have fun and enrich their faith. Here is a list of the available programs: Sunday School classes are offered on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am for all school-aged children, from pre-school through twelfth grade. Children and teens are engaged in age-appropriate lessons and activities. Sunday School is offered during the school year (September through May), but during the summer holidays, children are welcome to participate in Vacation Bible School. For more information, please visit the Youth Sunday School page. This non-denominational activity meets on Wednesday nights from September through April. All school-aged children from Kindergarten through 12th Grade are welcome to attend. The LOGOS youth engage in a variety of age-appropriate activities that include Bible Study, Worship Skills, Recreation Play and Family Time - yes, this is a place for the whole family! Kindergarten through 8th Grade (including confirmation participants) meet from 5:00 - 8:15 pm. Senior High Youth (9th Grade - 12th Grade) meets from 5:45 - 9:00 pm. Click here for more information. Vacation Bible School is a great way to keep your younger child involved in the summer. All children Preschool through beginning 6th Grade are welcome to attend! Each year features a different theme and has celebrated great success in the past. The children have a great time and parents can rest easy knowing their child is engaged in a safe, fun and wholesome program. Vacation Bible School is a week-long program offered during the latter part of summer break (usually the first week in August). There is a small cost per child to cover the cost of the program. Click here for more information. These choirs form a part of LOGOS Youth Club and rehearsals for these groups are scheduled during LOGOS on Wednesday nights. Groups include the Singing Spirits, the Sonrisers, the Chime Choir and Puppets &Beyond. These choirs provide a means to praise God and worship Him through music. They offer exciting music/worship opportunities for the youth for fellowship and service to all members of the church. Click here for more information. In addition to being able to participate in both Sunday School and LOGOS Youth Club, the Junior High Youth meet about once a month after church for a short Bible Study and an outing of some sort to a movie or lunch. These young people are very active within the church, as well as the community, engaging in a variety of volunteer and fund-raising projects. Click here for more information. In addition to being able to participate in both Sunday School and LOGOS Youth Club, the Senior High Youth engage in fund-raising events throughout the year to sponsor the yearly work camp mission trip. The teens greatly enjoy this event despite all the hard work it entails, because it gives them the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others on a very real level.
