Adult Sunday School Classes The Harvesters ~ Room 202 The Harvesters have been meeting since October of 1956. The group was founded by a small group of young adults who were seeking a common goal of religious education and fellowship; they chose the name "Harvesters" based on the time of year they were founded. Today they are still a small group of about 20 members consisting of married couples (2 couples from the original class), as well as widows and widowers of varying ages. They always welcome visitors and anyone who wishes to join their class. The class covers a variety of topics and is taught by different members on the subject of their choice. Most lessons conclude with class discussions. The Builders ~ Room 216 The Builders Sunday School class was started in 1964. They selected this name because at the time, they were all starting to build their families and Christian relationships. Classes are taught by class volunteers and they select the study material that will be presented. On the third Saturday of each month they meet in one of the member's homes for a discussion, refreshments, and a business meeting. In most months, members participate in some form of entertainment together and throughout the year members have been known to take vacation trips together. The class is open to any person looking for a great place to BUILD a closer relationship with God and special relationships with an extended Christian family. The Seekers ~ Room 205 The Seekers Class was formed in 1968. The class consists of a small group of people who always welcome new members. Members of this class typically range in age from fifties to sixties - most of them are now grandparents and a few have retired. This class studies a variety of topics throughout the year. The 13th Disciples ~ Room 302 This class is our most diverse group, consisting of persons in all stages of life, from single to families with young children, as well as older couples with grown children. They are a class on the move - since their formation in 1994 they have grown from only 4 members to over 20 members. They like to get together for socials on the third weekend of every month. The 13th Disciples enjoy their fellowship time with one another on Sunday mornings. Class format follows more of a discussion and sharing format than formal teaching, although they do study topics relating to real life issues that Christians face every day. They welcome anyone to their group and challenge you to change your life. C.S.I. Ridgewood ~ Room 305 C.S.I.=Christians Seeking Inspiration - a new class forming in the fall of 2007 to meet the needs of young adults just out of high school, college-aged, singles, newlyweds, and new parents. Since this class is new, it has the potential to go in just about any direction, depending on the needs and interests of the members that are attending.Family Matters ~ Room 116 Family Matters consists of a group of young growing families. They all have young children ranging in ages from birth to age 8. This class was started in 2003 with five families, but they have since expanded quite a bit. The main focus of this group is on Christian parenting and other issues relating to similar topics that young families face. Monthly, they host a "Parent's Night Out", where two families from the group watch all the children in the Toddler Room at church to allow the other adults a well-deserved evening out. Additionally they also spend time together as a whole group for family fun like camping for a weekend, or a group picnic. Coffee with Christ ~ Library (3rd Floor) This group has been meeting for several years in the Library. The main focus of this class is studying the Bible, using a variety of media including videos, Bible readings and study books. This is the ideal group to join for those who are looking for stimulating Bible Study and discussion. All Adult Sunday School Groups meet at 10:00
